ADDIE

Addie Wagenknecht is a conceptual artist, hacker, and cultural critic. Her work navigates the intersections of technology, feminism, and systemic critique — using the tools of art, software, and performance. Her pieces have been exhibited internationally at major museums, biennials, and institutions, including MoMA, the Vienna Biennale, and LACMA in Los Angeles.

Born in the United States, Wagenknecht now lives and works in Liechtenstein — where these iconic portraits were created. Photographed in her studio, the series captures a woman who refuses to be confined. It oscillates between intimacy and anonymity, control and revelation, presence and disguise. A visual statement on power, visibility, and digital subversion.

Wagenknecht’s stance is radical. Her gaze: direct, unforgiving, vulnerable. These portraits are not decorative poses, but explorations of the tension between identity and performance. In a world endlessly photographing itself, Addie Wagenknecht reflects on the medium itself — becoming a living sculpture in the process.

Thank you for your trust, Addie.
